Stephanie Burgess
After many years of practicing in Pretoria and Cape Town. After settling in Cape Town, the dream became a reality, and the firm found a home in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town. As a boutique firm, we strive to deliver personal, attention-to-detail legal solutions to all our clients. We strive to share our humanity with clients
Stephanie obtained her LLB degree at the University of Pretoria in 2013. After working at a prestigious law firm in Monument Park, the corporate legal environment beckoned. She completed her articles in Stellenbosch and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court in Cape Town.
During 2019, she completed her diploma in Insolvency Law and Practice at University of Pretoria and added the title of Insolvency Practitioner.
Karen Jansen van Vuuren
Karen completed both her BA Law and LLB degree at the University of Pretoria. She commenced with her articles in 2021 where she gained extensive experience in collections and court appearances.
Ms. Jansen van Vuuren was subsequently admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa during 2022 and joined the Burgess Attorneys Inc. team thereafter.
She is currently practising in various legal fields such as family law, criminal law and general civil litigation. She is always keen to learn something new and finding ways to improve herself. Her next objective is to pursue conveyancing and becoming a notary public.
